Exercise Physiology Fee Structure

• Initial EP Home Visit Consultation (90 minutes) - $240

• Subsequent EP Home Visit Service (60 minutes) - $160

All EP services are provided in the home. Also option for services to be conducted in local gym or hydrotherapy pool.

Rebates | What are you ELIGIBLE for?

AEPs are accredited through Exercise and Sports Science Australia (ESSA) and rank fifth as the most utilised allied health service in Australia. They are therefore registered to work with patients through Medicare, DVA, TAC, NDIS, Support At Home, Workcover and are recognised by most PHIs.
 

Medicare

You may be eligible for up to 5 x Exercise Physiology sessions under a Chronic Disease Management plan developed by your local GP. To be eligible patients must be experiencing a chronic medical condition that has been (or is likely to be) present for a period greater than 6 months. Consult your GP or Practice Nurse for further information regarding eligibility.
 

Private Health Insurers

AEPs are recognised by most PHIs in Australia, however ESSA continues to strongly advocate for an independent Exercise Physiology category. ESSA is confident that as of April 2019, Exercise Physiology services will be removed from natural therapies providing more Australians with access to exercise physiology services. Current participating health funds available for Exercise Physiologists.
